The Little Black Jumpsuit

I was at “beach week”—a right of passage for all high school graduates. Immediately following our graduation ceremony, my entire class piled into vans and headed to Dirty Myrtle Beach in South Carolina for 5 days of alcohol fueled debauchery.

I had just returned from a year abroad in Italy, so naturally I thought I was way more sophisticated than everyone else. “I can so handle my alcohol,” I bragged to anyone who would listen. Less than 12 hours after arriving in Dirty Myrtle, I was the first one to pass out from drinking one too many 4 Lokos (no surprise here). I woke up to find a huge dick drawn on my leg in Sharpie and vomit in my hair.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”375″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]But, when you’re 18 you spring back pretty fast from a hangover. Miss it.

The next day I composed myself a little better, but I made the rookie mistake of wearing a jumpsuit. If you recall, the romper was the “it” item of clothing in 2010. It should have come with a warning tag though: DON’T WEAR WHILE INTOXICATED. Every single time I went to the toilet, I had to remove my entire outfit and pull it back on again. I’m honestly still impressed by my drunken fashion skills from that night.

5 years later, I’ve ditched the blackout drinking and welcomed the jumpsuit back into my wardrobe. When Reformation, my new favorite clothing store, started making clothes this sexy, I decided it was finally time to lay my fashion demons to rest.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”370″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”][vc_single_image image=”373″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]
